Jason Momoa

as Khal Drogo

Character Overview: Drogo is a powerful khal, or warlord, of the Dothraki people, a tribal nation of expert riders and raiders in the steppes beyond the Free Cities. He is an accomplished warrior who has never been defeated in battle. – Wikipedia

Recent Events: Despite being forced together by Viserys’s political machinations, Drogo and Daenerys form a bond of love (and, eventually, common language) on their journey to Vaes Dothrak. He soon impregnates Dany with a child believed to be “The Stallion Who Mounts The World”; Dany intends to name this child “Rhaego”. Neither of them cares much for Viserys, and eventually, Drogo “crowns” Viserys with a boiling pot of molten gold.

His wife wants to return home, which is something Drogo does not consider (the Dothraki are not fond of water) until an assassin attempts to kill her. Drogo promptly reaffirms his commitment to his wife by declaring her enemies forfeit and the “iron chair” as rightfully hers. However, Drogo is mortally wounded in a fight with another khal. Dany attempts to persuade a maegi woman she saved from a pillaging, Mirri Maz Duur, to save his life, even going so far as to offer her own unborn son for his. Instead, Mirri betrays them both; Drogo and Rhaego’s lives are forfeit.

In retaliation, Dany burns Drogo’s body on a pyre with Mirri Maz Duur tied up on it before walking into the fire herself. This odd combination of forces causes the birth of Dany’s three dragons. Dany names the largest dragon Drogon in honor of her deceased husband.
