Character Overview: Missandei is originally from the peaceful island of Naath, but was sold into slavery as a child, along with her brother. She received education in various languages and became a translator to the slave trader Kraznys in Astapor.
Actor Bio: Nathalie Emmanuel is an English actress best known for her role in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks as Sasha Valentine, which she played from 2006 to 2010. Her first major television break came as the star of a summer Vodafone advertisement while she worked at a bank. She also played Nala in the West End production of The Lion King. She then later played Charlie in the E4 show Misfits.
