A Look “Inside GoT”: Season 5 Stunts
At the end of the Game of Thrones Season 5 premiere live stream on Monday night (which was punctuated with clips released on YouTube, segments from the A Day In the Life special and, of course, the latest trailer) producers unveiled a brand spanking new segment of the ongoing “Inside GoT” series. The first two installments focused on design—the weapons of Dorne and the set designs of the new places we would be visiting. This new one focused on the physical nature of the production, specifically the stunt work involved in the huge battle scenes we have been promised.
These battles were even promoted on the Red Carpet, as Benioff and Weiss talked about the grueling 15-day shoot for what we all assume is the Battle of Hardhome, while Kit Harington said the secret to doing your own stunts is to have a professional across from you who is intent on making you look good.
Now, that new inside special has been released for us all to watch to our heart’s content. Check it out below.
And beware–it contains SPOILERS. BEWARE: SPECULATION FOLLOWS.

Oh yes, it does! Did you see it? No? Watch again, and this time, pause it as best you can at the 18 second mark.
You see the weapon the one in yellow is holding? An Ice Sword. Ice weaponry?
The territory of White Walkers.
Now clearly this isn’t our baby thief’s weapon, as he carries an Ice Spear. But that White Walker royalty he gave the baby to? I would bet money he carries a sword like that.
Now look at the weapon being held by his sparring partner in blue. We’ve seen that before too.
Season 5 Trailer Wildling Thenn maybeWe know that weapon. It’s one used by Thenns, and one we saw in our trailer gif breakdown, being held by a guy who looked like he’s getting ready to fight…well, I assumed he was a member of the Night’s Watch.
But it looks like the Battle of Hardhome might have a whole different dimension to it, one that is still being kept under wraps. The battle could end up inspiring Jon Snow’s idea of the Wildlings and the Night’s Watch coming together and fighting on the same side.
