After These Messages… A Game of Brands
Long time fans of the show will probably remember Shutterstocks’ brilliant branding ideas for the Game of Thrones‘ different Houses, re-imagining them for a Modern Westeros as corporations. Entitled “A Game of Brands,” they were originally released just before Season 3, and were updated afterwards to prepare for Season 4. These glossy magazine ads included such concepts as Lannister Investments, Tyrell Cosmetics, and Air Targaryen.
Now, just in time for Season 5, Shutterstock has taken the concept a step further. After all, we know corporations don’t just do ad buys in print anymore. Print is a dying medium. TV commercials–that’s where it’s really at.
Check out the ad buys during one commercial break, below!
Stark Outfitters. Now more than ever.
I did hear bad things about Lannister Investments during the last economic downturn, though I suppose if CWBC (that’s the Consumer Westerosi Business Channel) is having Cersei on Littlefinger’s Mad King’s Money to paint a rosy picture, they’re probably still a solid bet.
I’m still left wondering if Greyjoy River Cruises is sponsoring the new season of Masterpiece and Hornwood Abbey on Westeros’ PBS stations….
