Life After Westeros: Game of Thrones Actors’ Outside Projects
With only three more episodes until the end of Season 5, how does one face the long cold winter of the off-season until Season 6? By checking in with our favorite actors in other projects!
One big-name film you’ll be able to catch Littlefinger in: the next installment of the Maze Runner franchise. Everyone will probably remember that the first installment starred Thomas Brodie-Sangster, the late gifted seer Jojen Reed. Apparently that worked so well, the producers decided to crib again from Game of Thrones, and cast Aiden Gillan for the sequel. Hoepfully Brodie-Sangster will make him feel at home. Here’s the trailer.
We mentioned this in our earlier post today, but Gethin Anthony, the late King Renly, is playing the famous serial killer Charles Manson in the new NBC “event series” Aquarius. The first two episodes debuted last night on NBC. The series is notable, because it marks the first time network TV is attempting to imitate Netflix, with all 13 episodes of the series released to the web immediately following the premiere, for those who wish to binge watch the entire thing. For those who prefer their television in one hour weekly doses, the rest of the 12 episodes will still air in their normal timeslot on Thursdays. Reviews of the first couple of episodes (and from the binge watchers) are decidedly mixed.

And finally, Sean Bean is dying again, this time in horror videogame Kholat. It’s his thing. Run with it.
