Tormund Giantsbane…is there a more likable character who’s also a brutal savage? Tormund is a guy who loves life. He’s fiercely loyal and a natural-born leader who genuinely cares for his people the wildlings, as well as those closest to him, like Jon Snow.

Tormund has survived the Battle for Castle Black despite being on the losing side. He fought valiantly and survived the Massacre at Hardhome, and he survived the Battle of the Bastards. But this is Game of Thrones, and all men must die. If Tormund Giantsbane keeps putting himself in the line of fire, how much more can he survive?

Game of Thrones is not a fairy tale, and fan favorites tend to die horrible death. Much as we hate to admit it, Tormund’s number could be up, especially if the producers are looking for important-but-not-too-important characters to kill going into the endgame. If Tormund were a cat, he’d have about two lives left. Let’s hope that’s enough.
