Who’s going to die in Game of Thrones Season 7? Odds on 50 characters

This is a hard one for me to forecast as Davos is my favorite character, but here goes: Ser Davos is going to die. Of old age, many years after the show concludes. No, really, Ser Davos seems like one of the few characters not essential to the plot who may survive the series. Why?

Ser Davos remains one of the more pure and guilt-free characters on the show. Yes, he served Stannis for most of the series, but Davos largely escaped the stain of Stannis’ sins, as the Onion Knight either counseled against or was not present for the would-be king’s more questionable acts, like killing Renly or burning Shireen. And while purely noble characters like Ned Stark have met their ends, Davos mixes his purity with a pragmatism he gained during his years a smuggler.

On the other hand, fighting the White Walkers alongside House Stark seems like a death warrant. So where does that leave us?

Members of Team Stark may die in Season 7 (the White Walker will probably get worse before it gets better), but I just don’t think Davos will be among them. I hope he survives Season 8 as well. Someone good and kind has to live through the series, right? Right?
