The Spanish Kingdom of Game of Thrones
Canal+ continues to reign supreme when it comes to Spanish news out of Dorne. Err, Dornish news out of Spain, that is. Over the weekend, the channel aired a forty-five minute behind-the-scenes special focusing heavily on the new filming areas. There’s tons of interviews with the new cast, along with some familiar faces. Also, George R.R. Martin himself discusses some of his inspirations for the series. There’s a few behind-the-camera clips of scenes that will be happening down the line this season, including of a very interesting one where Jamie sits down with the Martells. There are also a couple of bits in English that are re-appropriated from the A Day In The Life special. Finally, there’s a few glimpses of the special effects, some of which we’ve seen before, and some of which we haven’t.
And of course, we get to see footage from earlier seasons that are overdubbed into Spanish. Tyrion’s voice in his clips can be very jarring, as can Dany’s. Check out the full special here.
